What happens when you need one shirt?
A fabric cube can be opened, an item removed and the remaining clothes closed up with relatively little rearrangement. A sealed air-removal bag may require resealing and removing air again. If a compressed bundle will remain untouched until a longer stay, the extra step may be acceptable. Ask what you will do if a seal will not close, a valve is damaged or a required pump is unavailable. A system that depends on complete compression just to fit may leave no workable fallback. A little reserve space or a simpler packing method can be more useful than the greatest possible reduction.
Choose ordinary cubes for convenient grouping, compression cubes for an accessible denser module, and an appropriate air-removal bag when its process suits the load and itinerary. Keep damp clothing separate and dry it promptly; sealing away moisture is containment for transport, not a way to finish laundry.
