The tablet is not an afterthought
If you use the tablet for drawing, presenting or reading documents, include the keyboard cover or protective case you normally attach. The complete assembly can be considerably thicker than the device alone. Compare that shape with the selected compartment rather than relying only on diagonal screen measurements.
The laptop requires the same care. Pack both devices with their real accessories before deciding how much clothing room remains. A bag that fits each device separately is not necessarily comfortable once the full combined kit is inside.
Separate transit items from meeting equipment
