A jacket or a small purchase can change the day's load without changing the work kit. Assign that flexible space to the main compartment while keeping the computer and frequently used accessories in predictable positions.
Expansion should remain an option rather than the default reason to carry extra belongings. If the larger state is full on every ordinary day, compare whether a different daily capacity would give you an easier packing routine.
