Start with the outline and empty weight
Both the linked Amazon listing and tomtoc’s Liteway page specify approximately 45 × 30 × 20 cm and 1,000 g. The maker allows for small production differences. Use those figures as a starting point, then measure the bag packed, including filled exterior pockets.
For a hypothetical 7 kg total bag allowance, the empty pack leaves about 6 kg for everything inside. That is arithmetic, not an airline entitlement. If your ticket permits less depth or height than the stated outline, a 28L capacity label cannot make the bag compliant.
Give the two main compartments different roles
The maker describes room for a laptop up to 16 inches and an iPad up to 13 inches. A screen diagonal does not describe a thick case or unusually large chassis, so check the device dimensions. Put the charger where you can reach it without opening the clothing side.
Use the main compartment for a removable clothing cube and toiletries, leaving the separate tech section ready for the working day. If shoes occupy most of that clothing space, test the complete load before deciding the 28L is enough.
Make the smaller pockets earn their space
Front and top pockets give frequently handled items a home, while side pockets keep a bottle accessible. The catalog photograph also shows side compression straps. Tighten them after packing to control the load, then check whether they interfere with the access routine you prefer.
The padded back, contoured straps and chest buckle described in the listing are reasons to try the harness with your equipment. They are not evidence of tested carrying comfort. This page assesses documented construction rather than a wear test.
Treat airport wording as a claim to check
