Two useful volumes
Thule specifies 28L in its normal configuration and 32L when expanded. That additional space can accommodate a changing load, but it also changes the bag’s profile. Plan to use the unexpanded form for the daily commute and expansion when an overnight kit or an extra layer genuinely needs it.
The full backpanel opening lets you arrange clothing as you would in a small suitcase. Try keeping your work essentials in their regular positions and adding a single clothing cube. If the overnight conversion requires relocating every cable and notebook, simplify the accessories before increasing the load.
Separation without overpromising containment
The TPU divider gives used clothing or active gear its own zone. It is still sensible to bag a wet swimsuit separately: a divider is not an invitation to leave moisture beside a laptop. Dry damp items promptly once you reach accommodation.
The official specification includes a padded laptop compartment, a luggage pass-through and a bottle pocket. Thule’s compatible Aion Sling can function as a hipbelt, but it is sold separately. That matters if your buying decision depends on waist support. Choose the Aion for adaptable work-and-travel organization; if your main objective is the smallest possible day bag, even its unexpanded travel structure may be more than you need.
